Day 12/The 12 Days of Christmas: The Age of Innocence

Giggles Hello World

As we reach the 12th Day of Christmas, Christmas Eve, I share two paintings of siblings. They represent the innocence of childhood, which is what so much of the Christmas spirit is all about. As we celebrate Christmas Eve it all comes together in the faces of these two dressed in their matching Christmas pajamas, each at a different stage of their Christmas experience.

The little girl is on Christmas number 3. She is all excited about decorating the tree and the lights strung everywhere. She jumped right into Santa's lap and told him everything she wanted him to bring her. The presents are under the tree and she would love to dive right into opening all of them, but she doesn't want to be on Santa's Naughty List. And there is that Elf somewhere that is watching everything she does. The cookies and milk are on the table for Santa. She isn't tired one bit and she really would like to stay up and see if Santa can get up the chimney by placing his finger beside his nose. She tried it and it didn't work for her. But Santa is magical. She is so excited about everything, she just can't contain them...I give you my painting of the excitement on Day 12: Giggles

The second painting is of his first Christmas. What is going on? Everyone is running around and excited and laughing. A tree is in the middle of the room...but I can't touch it! There are lights everywhere...but I can't touch them. Brightly wrapped boxes are all over the floor...but I can't touch them! They want me to sit in the lap of this huge man dressed in bright red, yelling Ho Ho Ho!...and I won't let him touch me! Oh my gosh, what is with all my people. Everything is topsy turvy. I think I will just go over and sit with Paw Paw until things go back to normal. I share with you a child's first Christmas: Hello World

I end this series on The 12 Days of Christmas: The Age of Innocence with this verse:

"Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom

of God belongs to such as these" Luke 18:16

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Thanks for connecting,

Cissy
