A Little Beach Music

I titled this painting, A Little Beach Music. You might think that means Jimmy Buffett, The Beach Boys, or even maybe Johnny Cash or Al Green. But to me as I watched this man, it is the sound of gulls talking as they fly over the water, the sound of the tide moving back and forth over the sand beach, the fish splashing the water as they jump in and out of the water, the gentle breeze moving past you ear. Then the sounds of the traffic in the distance. As the sun moves higher the sounds grow louder... the greetings of family and friends arriving. Slaps on the back, old stories being told, children's laughter as the sound of meat sizzling on the hot grill. People taking time off to spend with friends and loved ones. On this holiday weekend, I hope you all get to hear your own special "music".
