The Walk Home
As we enter this period prior to Christmas Day, I want to show paintings I have done of children. None of these are for sale on my website because they were done for commission, or family, or a Mississippi Arts Commission grant. I always explain that I don't paint portraits, I paint moments or emotions of people. For the next twelve days, I want to share my attempt to capture moments of childhood, or as I call these: The Age of Innocence.
Day I: The Walk Home
A moment when the birthday party comes to an end and the toddler doesn't understand why the party's balloon center piece isn't coming home with her. What is a father to do? Well, he does what most father's would do...he makes it happen. I give you that moment: The Walk Home.
